AmPro Tools to support Mat Sofi in 2009
| Story
By: F3 Media Release Date: 13/3/2009 at 12:09:16 AM | |
AmPro Tools has today been announced as a major sponsor of Sydney Driver Mathew Sofi’s 2009 Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship campaign.
New to the Australian marketplace, AmPro Tools will take significant branding on the Astuti-Motorsport prepared Dallara F307 Mugen Honda this season, as the 23-year-old driver seeks to win the 54th running of the prestigious Australian Drivers Championship for the CAMS Gold Star.
Sofi has also today unveiled the stunning livery that his car will sport this season, as well as a comprehensive associate sponsorship portfolio in what is set to be one of the most professional teams racing this year in all of Australian motorsport.
“Thanks to our fantastic new partnership with AmPro tools, we’re taking things up not just one level – but many,” Sofi enthused.
“To say that I’m excited to have them on board is an understatement. We are thrilled that they have elected to work with us and the F3 Australian Drivers championship to introduce their brand into Australia. As a result we will be going to every extreme possible to promote their brand including the stunning new livery the #2 car will run this year.
“Significant investment has also been made to make sure that our whole team is the best looking in pit lane. Our garage area, uniforms and transporter will all proudly display the AmPro tools logo and those of our associate sponsors this year.
“Of course, winning is going to be the best possible way of exposing their brand so that is our number one aim,” Sofi added.
“With the experience of Astuti Motorsport preparing our car we know it will be fast. I have been working flat out on my fitness and training and I am fitter and more focussed than ever before so this year will be our best possible shot at a championship.
“I can’t wait to get on the streets of Adelaide next week and get the season underway.”
Richard McLean, National Projects Manager for Beaver Brands – the parent company of AmPro Tools – said that singling out the Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship was not a difficult process and that the company was excited to be part of the series.
“We spent considerable time looking at all aspects of the Australian Motorsport market to find a category that best represents the AmPro Tools quality, innovation and lifetime warranty and in F3 we believe we found that. The cars are precise, state of the art, the closest thing to F1 and are the fastest in Australia,” Richard McLean said.
“When we found the right category we moved onto the right driver for AmPro Tools. It didn’t take long to find the right driver in Mat Sofi. He is professional and equally as determined for success as AmPro Tools. Since then we have formulated AmPro Racing to back Mat throughout 2009.
“CAMS consider The Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship to be the premier racing category in Australia by awarding the series champion the Gold Star. Drivers like Mark Skaife, John Bowe, Alf Costanzo, Bib Stilwell and Lex Davison have all won the Gold Star and we believe Mat Sofi has the character and resolve to be the 2009 champion.”
McLean said that the brand had but one aim to fulfil this season:
“Simple – support Mat with quality tools so he can win the 2009 Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship,” he said.
“Motorsport is all about opportunity and determination, and together with Mat we believe we have the opportunity for combined success in 2009 and beyond. Feel free to visit the AmPro Racing pits throughout 2009 to try AmPro Tools for yourself and discuss the complete Beaver Brands range of products”
“Special thanks to Robert Jones from Cartrek for a fantastic design on the car and to Mat for all the preparation for sponsorship”
As part of their new relationship with Sofi, AmPro tools will begin a brand activation campaign that will include appearances of the #2 AmPro Tools Dallara in the brands’ catalogue, and a dedicated AmPro Tools racing website, set to be launched shortly at www.amproracing.com.au
Mathew Sofi has also confirmed a strong group of associate sponsors that will join the campaign this year, including Transwest Insurance Brokers, Gemelle Ristorante Italiano, Errea, 1827, De Janeiro Fitness, Performance Friction Brakes, Sniper, Total Developments, Luton Smash Repairs, Shell Racing Solutions and Astuti Motorsport.
