Australian Formula 3 graduate Josh Burdon wrapped up the Asian Formula Renault series at Zhuhai last weekend.

Burdon took out the title after scoring 7 wins and 3 second place finishes in the 12 race series for BlackArts Racing.

Josh was a competitor in the Australian Formula 3 National Class in 2010 and 2011, driving for R-Tek Motorsport.

Burdon took out the series by 45 points from Maxx Ebenal, with Najiy Ayyad Bin Abd Razak from S & D Motorsports finishing third.

Burdon is not the only Australian F3 connection in the Asian Formula Renault paddock with the S & D Motorsports cars in the series receiving technical support from Australian F3 team Harvest Motorsport.

Burdon started in Australian F3 in 2010, with a top 5 outright result in his first round at Symmons Plains, he then competed at Mallala and Sandown before embarking on a National Class title tilt in 2011.

2011 saw ups and downs, most notably a spectacular rollover at Morgan Park, before raising enough funds to rebuild the car and come back with a run of 3 national class wins from the next 5 races late in the season.
